Kyo, before you said that alcohol was part of agriculture and therefore part of every culture (excepting Myches, sorry Myches.) But what about Morbacks? They're, uh migratory--do they have any native alcoholic drinks?
Are there several different languages native to Hekshano like here on Earth? I'm pretty sure that Hekshanians that live in different areas don't all speak the same language (basing this hypothesis by what it's like on Earth)
How would you react if you actually met a species that was really unknown and alien to you?
It’s actually pretty common, I mean, you really only see Rakwulvs and Humans visiting Hekshano. So most alien species are pretty new to me.
For the most part, you just leave all of your judgement and expectations at the door. There’s gonna be misunderstandings and there’s gonna be accidental missteps. You just gotta roll with it, and assume that everyone’s makin’ the same attempts to be friendly you are. - Kyo
Hey Kyo, I've noticed a lot of the space-fairing species such as Myches or Nikitaks have quite the shnoze/nose/muzzle on them. How acute is their (Myches/Nikitaks) sense of smell, compared to Hekeshanians/Humans?
to really compare what species has a better sense of smell than the others, though, you need to examine how much of their brain is devoted to the nose. Hekshanians, Humans and Nikitaks have a better sense of smell than Animarians and Myches. Chuians and Morbacks have some of the best senses of smell. - icarus
Hiyo, Kyo! Struggling to clip my dog's nails brought this question to mind... How hard is it to clip those big ol' toe-claws you Hekshanians have? Do they even need to be clipped, or are they usually worn down enough by normal walking to prevent overgrowth?
Hey Kyo, what kind of weapons are available? Space lasers and such or more kinetic projectiles? Also, are there any sort of species-specific weapons that only they could use? I'm envisioning Satre using a claymore or something strange and this brings me great joy.
So, you've answered the educational system questions but now for a different question from a different asker. What's your level of education and was if you managed to major in something, was it because you enjoyed the subject matter or simply to grab some cash?
Do u have any problems with static electricity? like seriously when i walk from a cold wind into a warm room, my pants and shirt stick to my hair like glue, make me feel everything all weird, i mean you gotta have that worse, or im just that weird.
Hi! There are three questions, sorry. Can you put your ears in a ponytail, please? Do you have SpongeBob where you live? Would you join the dark side for cookies? I know childish questions, sorry, you must be busy.
How does the Hekshanian school system work? At what age does one enroll in their first classes? Is there preschool? Higher learning? Trade schools? What was and is the expected norm for schooling pre and post Rulerist disaster?
For the most part the major impact on schooling by the massacres has been a huge lack of teachers. The Rulerists have done their best to fill the occupational gap with their own people, but there’s only so much a complete stranger can teach you about your own planet’s history or biology or culture. So there’s been sort of a major backslide in terms of the quality of education since the massacres. Other cities aren’t quite as hard hit as North Tek though, we’ve prettymuch got the worst of it right now.
Also there’s obviously next to no chance of leaving the planet to attend colleges for specialized training elsewhere, now. So yeah, we’re pretty screwed in the educational department. It’s still too soon to tell, but a lot of people are worried that the crappy education system we’ve got now is going to spark an even worse upward trend in crime. - Kyo
So kyo, I'm not sure if you'll know this, but it's something thats been nagging me. Now, I'm pretty sure that the fact that different species all over the galaxy would develop the same body, heck, even same cell structure all on there own is HIGHLY unlikely. so, do your scientists know if there was some great space- faring race long ago that planted seeds of growth everywhere that is gone now? Were the primitive cells transfered everywhere by meteorites early on? Was it something else?
I know this is Ask Kyo, but I think you'll have to find a Myche to answer this one. I read that myches don't raise their young, but abandon them and let them raise themselves. How then do myches pass on their cultural mores and beliefs and such to the next generation? How do present-day myches remember the slavery of their ancestors and retain such strong motivation to stick up for one another, over and above their other loyalties?
